Signage Coordinator

Maestro Mobilité is a firm specialized in mobility, traffic management, and road safety, supporting owners, contractors, and engineering firms in delivering infrastructure projects across Quebec.

Projects are delivered for ministries, municipalities, transit agencies, consulting-engineering firms, and contractors across Quebec.

As a signage coordinator, you will act as Maestro Mobilité's representative with the client during night interventions. Your role will focus mainly on job-site coordination, monitoring and supervising signage installations, inspections, managing unexpected situations, and documenting interventions.

You will need to read, analyze, and interpret signage and traffic-management plans to ensure they are applied correctly on site. You will have the authority to identify non-conformities, require the necessary corrections, and, when the situation calls for it, refuse an installation that does not meet the plans, standards, or applicable requirements.

This role is for an autonomous, resourceful, and decisive person, able to work under pressure, manage unexpected situations effectively, and communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and field teams.

• Coordinating signage interventions with the client and the various stakeholders on site;
• Making real-time calls at each stage of lane closures;
• Monitoring the installation, maintenance, and removal of signage devices by contractor and subcontractor crews;
• Setting the location and limits of concrete barriers / impact attenuators, as well as pavement-marking removal and installation work;
• Reading, analyzing, and interpreting signage and traffic-management plans and ensuring they are applied correctly on site;
• Carrying out field inspections to verify the compliance of installations, the quality of the work, and the maintenance of road safety around work zones;
• Identifying non-conformities and requiring the necessary corrections; refusing, when required, an installation that does not meet the plans, standards, or applicable requirements;
• Managing unexpected situations and operational issues encountered on site and making the decisions needed to ensure safety and the smooth running of interventions;
• Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and other stakeholders present on site;
• Writing the required daily reports, intervention summaries, findings, and change requests;
• Documenting discrepancies, special events, and changes made to signage interventions;
• Being a model in applying occupational health and safety rules and contributing to compliance with laws, regulations, standards, and requirements applicable on job sites.

• A technical diploma in civil engineering, relevant training, or an equivalent combination of training and significant experience in job-site inspection and supervision and in road signage;
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in job-site inspection, mobility, road signage, or civil engineering;
• Experience in job-site inspection and supervision and in coordinating road-signage interventions;
• Good to excellent command of Tome V – Road signage (intermediate to expert level);
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret signage and traffic-management plans;
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams);
• Valid driver's licence and availability for frequent travel;
• Valid ASP Construction card;
• Valid AQTR card.

• Experience on Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD) projects;
• Knowledge of the CCDG;
• Knowledge of the processes and requirements of the MTMD and the City of Montreal;
• Ability to review plans using AutoCAD;
• Member of a professional order.

• A permanent seasonal full-time position from April to November;
• Opportunity to move into a year-round permanent role depending on experience, skills, and the company's needs;

• Availability required to be scheduled according to project needs, which may include any night of the week;
• Weekend work relatively frequent depending on project needs;
